Dearest 2nd Grade Parents and Guardians!
I was thrilled to see all the Dinosaur Projects displayed in class today! It was such an exciting morning for the students who were so proud of their own work. Thanks for all the materials and help you had provided them to complete the project! I will not be having them bring the projects home just yet as I still need to give a grade. All the projects were stellar!
On another tangent, please note the following:
–Reading HW: In addition to reading 15 minutes per day, please have your child complete the short story packet sent home. They should just do one page each day and answer the questions on the back of each page. One story in the packet is Little Red Riding Hood broken into 3 parts. Please have them read one part each day. They may read The National September 11 Memorial on Thursday.
–Math: There will be their last Math Test this Friday, June 8th. Students should aim for 100% completion on ST Math by Wednesday next week, 6/13.
–Summer Homework: A summer packet with details about supplies and summer HW to prepare for 3rd grade was sent home during Cross-Over day last Tuesday. Please make sure that your child has this packet in hand before the school year ends. There was a list of important 3rd grade supplies and the work to be done will be their first HW grade next year. Please email me if you cannot locate this packet.
