Dearest Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for all of you who had made it to our Open House School Mass yesterday! It marked the start of Catholic Schools’ Week! The week is filled with special themes and appreciations. For more details, please refer to the Catholic Schools’ Week schedule sent home last week in the yellow folder. A brief outline of the themes can be found below:
Catholic Schools’ Week Themes:
Monday: Pajama Day (Student Appreciation Day)
Tuesday: Disney Day (Teacher Appreciation Day)
Wednesday: Sports Day(Administration Day)
Thursday: Color Day (Parent Appreciation Day) à come for Donuts and Coffee during carline!!!
Friday: Fancy Day Special Person’s Day (Invite a Special Person to come to Mass with us as a class!)
-If you have a Special Person coming, please fill out the Special Person’s Form that had been placed inside your child’s folder last Friday by Thursday, 1/31. You may also find the form attached to this email.
-Support our 8th Grade Graduating Class of 2019 by purchasing special lunches through our Special Person’s Day order form sent home in the yellow folders last week. Last orders and payment are taken in the office by tomorrow, Tuesday 1/29.
Other Important Announcements/Reminders:
–AR Reports: I will be sending another report by this week’s end to update you on their progress.
–Word Work Quiz HF Test: This week, I had scheduled these assessments for Friday on the Newsletter. However, given that I may experience a number of students leaving early because of Special Person’s Day, I will be rescheduling these assessments for Thursday instead.
–Chapter 4 Math Test: I will be holding off on sending these graded tests back for corrections/regrades until I have all students who were absent take their test.
–First Reconciliation: There has been a recent time change from 6-8pm to 5-7pm on Monday, March 25th, due to scheduling conflicts. The date remains, but the time has been shifted up an hour earlier. Please note this time change on your calendar!
-Make-Up Meeting for Parent Formation Retreat: If you were not able to make our Parent Formation meetings in October or January, it is imperative that you make it to a make-up meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 6th from 6-9pm in the Old Church Gym (located next to the Poor Claire’s Preschool across our campus on 163rd Street.)
–Pennies for Patients: Last day of collection is this Friday. Please bring in your boxes for Junior High to collect this Friday, February 1st!
