Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
It was great seeing you all at our Sunday Family Mass at 11am this weekend. I appreciated Mrs. Lopez (Sophia’s mom) for speaking after the Mass to promote our school. Thank you to our 3rd grade class for leading our bake sale, and to Pattie and Anjolie Padilla for attending our school booth.
I want to send a very special thank you to Claudia Guzman and Priscilla Ortiz for leading our Interior Maintenance PLC. They came out this past Saturday with their children from 2-6pm to do a deep cleaning of our 2nd floor classrooms and disinfect them. This is especially needed now, as we enter the flu season. The group is scheduling their next cleanup of the school and classrooms 2 weeks from now, so mark your calendars! They will need all the help they can get. Those who need service hours and can only come on the weekends, this opportunity is perfect for you. Their committee currently consists of 4 people, but that’s not enough. They need at least 8 more adults to help volunteer in these cleanups. If there are any school families that would like to come out and help, we would greatly appreciate it, and we welcome your assistance. The PLC would like to do a deep cleaning every 2-3 weeks.
This week is Parent-Teacher Conferences. We want to work with you in partnership to ensure that your child is met where they are, and that they are receiving the best possible education that St. Anthony’s can provide. If you ever have any concerns, please bring it up to your child’s teacher first, and if something needs more attention, I am happy to join the conversation as well, to resolve any issues. We are partners in education, but you as parents are your child’s first teacher. We are here to help you in your goal to raise your children to be totally healthy in mind, body and spirit, and Followers of Jesus. These are also our School-wide Learning Expectations, also known as our SLEs. This week is also our Scholastic Book Fair. We have NOON Dismissals all week, and we are happy to welcome the Coastal Coffees and Tastyblock food trucks. Please bring extra money to support our school in these fundraisers. Thank you so much!
Mrs. Grey, Principal
