Good Morning Parents,
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a restful weekend.
This week we will begin using more digital assignments on seesaw. You will not need to pick up materials from school. Although we will not be using the traditional packets, we are still following the same lessons and standards. I am working on a video to explain how to access and submit digital assignments on seesaw.
This week we will begin our unit on digraphs (two letters that make one sound) and focus on the digraph sh. In math, we are wrapping up our 2-D shapes and will review addition skills. This will be the last week for sight word review. After Easter break, we will have weekly sight words.
In an effort to lighten the workload, science/social studies will not be assigned on Wednesdays. Additionally, videos/pictures of Kids A-Z app, songs, flash cards, and sight word activities are not required. These activities should still be completed, but will be on the honor system.
Students should continue to reply to our circle time question daily for attendance. Students who do not either reply to the question or post work for the day will be marked absent. If you know you won’t be able to check in on seesaw one day, please let me know. You may check in at any time during the day. Please do what works best for your schedule.
I have been so impressed with the dedication, flexibility, and open communication from our kinder families. Thank you for asking questions and providing honest, constructive feedback. Your hard work at home does not go unnoticed, and I want to send a note of appreciation to all parents and caregivers working hard to support our students. Thank you!
This Thursday is Holy Thursday and is a noon dismissal day. Please see the two options for activities on the attached schedule. I strongly encourage students to attend the Grades K-4th Holy Triduum Prayer Service at 10:30am on zoom. Sr. Tho has put together a wonderful service. If you are unable to attend, your child may complete the provided activities on seesaw.
Easter break begins Friday, April 10th. School will resume Monday, April 20th.
As always, please contact me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
Thank you,
Ms. Strohm
