Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you all for making our Halloween Drive-Through Trunk or Treat Celebration memorable for our children last Friday. The parents and volunteers who decorated their trunks really made it special for our families! Thank you to Mrs. Nakayama, the Student Government, and all our teachers and staff for putting together a fun event for our children and for handing out treats and goodies. Ms. Angelic Nunez Scott and Ms. Amy Lucas coordinated our green screen photo booth. They will be sending your photos out to you via email within the next few weeks. We appreciate your support! We made almost $300 for our school, and the monies collected will go toward Student Activities.
Yesterday we celebrated All Saints’ Day and today is All Souls’ Day. We pray for all our deceased loved ones and ancestors, and all the souls in Purgatory, and we ask for the intercession of all the saints in Heaven.
Please keep in mind that next week there is NO SCHOOL next Monday 11/09, in observance of the Veterans’ Day Holiday.
Soon we will begin our next big fundraising event: our Cash Raffle, which runs from early November through Dec. 11 at 4pm! Unless you opted to pay your $500 financial commitment upfront, it’s that time again to purchase at least $200 worth of raffle tickets per family, for a chance to win $2000 in cash! This is our most popular fundraiser because you get credit for every dollar you sell. The Opportunity Drawing will take place after our Christmas Prayer Service on campus on Monday evening, Dec. 17, 2020. Remember, it is also always an option to pay off the $500 fundraising fee early or roll it into your FACTS tuition payments, but this is a lot more fun! As a reminder, if you opt out, you will NOT receive any raffle tickets and will be invoiced after the drawing in mid-December. Please see Mr. Carlos Aguilar for more details. Stay tuned for more school wide fundraisers as well such as poinsettias, first aid kits, Krispy Kreme and Jamba Juice cards.

EARN ONE SERVICE HOUR FROM HOME!
Parents who review our school online on Yelp, Google, AND greatschools.org will earn up to one service hour after you send me your screenshots of all 3 sites as proof: to agrey@stanthonygardena.org.
SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to the school for overhead expenses. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Home Depot for Beautification of our school, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $10/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. You can also donate gift cards to the school for prizes for our PLCs and fundraisers. Thanks in advance!
SCRIP
One easy way to help you reach your $500 financial commitment is to purchase Scrip throughout the year. We accept credit cards in the office for your orders making it easier than ever! It’s basically buying gift cards to purchase things like groceries, gas, gifts, or things you need and want on a daily basis, but you can get fundraising credit for a portion of every gift card you buy! Work smarter, not harder! We have Scrip for Starbucks, Vons, Albertsons, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Gardena Supermarket, and so much more!
