Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This Sunday, June 13, we celebrated the Feast Day of our miraculous patron saint, St. Anthony of Padua! We also celebrated Msgr. Sal’s 29th ordination anniversary and Ms. Pattie Padilla’s birthday on June 13.
It’s hard to believe we have finally reached our last week of school! We made it through the last 15 months, since we went into lockdown on March 17, 2020. This year we started with remote learning, then had small cohorts, and then we had a trimester of hybrid learning – praise God we are all here together! Last Friday, June 11, we graduated our 8th grade class with a beautiful in-person Graduation Mass and ceremony in the Church. It was a blessing to see everyone again. Best of luck to all our students as they begin their high school career! Congratulations to the students and their families on all their accomplishments.
We look forward to celebrating all our fathers next Sunday, June 20: Happy Fathers’ Day to our amazing dads! We are grateful to you for your continuous strength and leadership. May God bless you now and always, and may St. Joseph, Jesus’s foster father guide you and protect you and your families.
Thursday, June 17 is our last day of school before we begin our Summer vacation. Our 3rd Trimester Awards will be done in person in the church. All families will sit together and may go home after the awards. You will get specific information from your child’s teacher re: activities for this week. Congratulations to our Kindergarten students who are promoted today, June 14!
Students’ report cards can be picked up in person on the last day of school, 6/17. (This is for students whose parents have met all their financial obligations for the year. Report cards will be held otherwise. Please take care of all outstanding balances this week with Mr. Aguilar). If you have borrowed any library books or school-owned devices like laptops or Chromebooks, they are due back to the office by this week, no later than Thursday, June 17.
For planning purposes, our first day of school in the fall is August 18. We plan to reopen fully with in-person classes, 5 days a week. Vicki Marsha Uniform will be back on campus on August 6 in the Hall from 3:30-5pm, and September 8 in Room 7 from 4-8pm. There is an online Early Bird Uniform Sale June 15-30.
I wish to thank each and every one of you for your hard work, dedication, and support this year, with God’s grace, we made it through together. Even during a pandemic, we created many new memories that will last a lifetime. Hopefully we remember all the good times we spent together with our families. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Catholic education and investing in your children’s future. Enjoy your summer and see you next school year!
God bless,
Mrs. Grey, Principal
