Dear first grade families,
Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend with their families. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments.
HOMEWORK
- Sight word activities. Students must post all 4 activities on Seesaw on Thursday,1 post with 4 pages, dates on each activity. Pictures/ videos are accepted. All handwritten activities must be done on their sight word notebook. If they will do all handwritten activities, using front and back pages of their notebooks will help students utilize all the space in their notebooks! Students must do their activities daily. Once again, students MUST COMPILE ALL 4 ACTIVITIES AND POST IT ON SEESAW ON THURSDAY by 5pm.
- Math pages are due every day. Please keep all of your child’s math pages in their folders. We check it everyday and record it on Friday. We will use the Standard’s Practice book as our homework for Math. I will assign the pages every week. Students will rip the assigned pages; they must write their name and place in blue homework folder. Go Math books will be distributed on Monday.
- Reading- Students must listen, read, record and quiz 2 books per week (Monday & Wednesday). If students don’t see the quiz option, they can skip that part. But they must quiz the book if there’s an option for them to do so. The quiz option is based on their book level. Must be completed by Thursday 5pm.
- Word Study Decodable– Starting this week, I will be assigning a word study decodable to the students as a part of their homework (Tuesday & Thursday). Students will listen, read, record and highlight the focus of the week. Must be completed by Thursday 5pm.
Here is some examples from my previous students:
