Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend with their families. Here is all the information that you and your child will need for this week. I ask that you please read all of the information I post or email along with all of the attachments.
September 27, Monday
-Student Free day- no school!
Homework
Please follow the Homework weekly list that will be sent on Tuesday:
Math– Review packets for Tuesday and Monday will be sent home as a review for our test
Reading– Students must complete 2 Raz-kids books(listen, read, record & quiz) and 1 word study decodable- “Pam” (listen, read, record and highlight words with short a & i)

Parents can help their child by reviewing the topics we learned for that week.
Wednesday- Chapter 1 Go Math test

Extra clothes
Please always make sure to pack extra set of clothes for your child just in case of emergency (extra shirt, shorts/pants, underwear and socks)
Saint plate project
VIDEO REPORT ON SEESAW DUE: OCT. 31st , till 5pm
ACTUAL REPORT DROP OFF: Nov. 1st
Students have 4 weeks to work on their projects! Please read the instructions below.
Report
- With the help of a parent, student will research about their assigned Saint (catholic.org, usccb.org)
- Complete the attached report sheet. (paper plate & Ziploc will also be provided)
- Include a photo or drawing on report sheet.
- Cut out the report and glue them onto one side of the plate provided.
- Using the stencil, create your Saint on the other side of the plate.
- Students will bring their project to school and submit their paper plate on Nov. 1st.
Attached below are some example projects from last year’s class. I would recommend having your child involved in making their own projects. Please use these as a reference, and let me know if you have any questions!
Dress-Up
- On November 1st, Students may come to school dressed up as any Saint.
- Saint costumes do not need to be elaborate!
- Students will process in Mass with the school in their costumes.
- Costumes should go over your child’s school uniform, as we will be changing in the classroom after Mass.
- I will give extra credit to the students that will dress up as a saint.
Classroom Wishlist
The following supplies are things that the students and I would greatly appreciate at any point of the school year.
●8-ounce waters
●Healthy Emergency snacks (Cheez-its, rice Krispy treats, goldfish, fruit snacks, pretzels, No peanuts!)
●2 or 1 Gallon sized Ziploc bag
●Blue painter’s tape
●Reading books (Kindergarten to 3rd grade reading levels)
●1 Swiffer (wet jet pads & cleaning solution)
●Glade plug-in refills (lavender)
●Android & Ipad tablet charging port & wires
●Manipulatives (building blocks, magnetic tiles, Legos, Bristle Blocks, Guidecraft Interlox Squares, Cossy STEM Learning Toy Engineering Construction, ZOOB 250
