Dear Parents and Guardians,
Congratulations to our New Student Government who was installed last Friday! Thank you to all our leaders for this school year and good luck to all the students leading us in the Fall. Yesterday, June 5, our 8th grade graduates attended the 11am Family Mass in Caps and Gowns and processed down the aisle for a special blessing. It was beautiful to also see former SAP students there, who are now in high school, preparing for college.
A huge congratulations to our Theater group who performed Frozen Jr. on June 3 and 4! The two casts were just phenomenal! Thank you, Mrs. Garcia, for all your hard work and dedication to our students for this show and all the small class musicals last week. What amazing performances! We also want to thank Ms. Mahar and Ms. Martinez for preparing our students for the big shows. A special thanks to the backstage crew and photographers, all our Musical Theater Committee members and parents, and especially to Ms. Pattie Padilla and Anjolie Padilla, who volunteered their time to help us sell Grams at the Small class shows and at Frozen, and also help with hair and makeup for our casts! It really takes a village to raise a child and we are so proud of all our students in the school for their acting performances last week! A belated Happy birthday to Mrs. R. who also celebrated her birthday with us in the Hall on June 4!
We are so excited for the upcoming renovations of our school, which begin June 20 and could continue through September 5, (God willing, the contractors will finish earlier, but we ask for your patience, understanding and flexibility). Our first week of school is scheduled for 8/29 (for grades 1-8 with noon dismissal all week). Please note that 11 classrooms and the learning lab, library, and garages must be completely empty by June 16. Most things should be cleared out or boxed up by this Friday, June 10. We will need volunteers to help us start moving big furniture and desks and chairs into 4 big storage bins that will be on campus starting next Monday, June 13. These bins will be in front of the K-2 classrooms by the playground, so please be prepared for this. We will need volunteers June 14-15 from 1-4pm to help us load furniture and boxes into these bins. Please email me if you are interested in helping us vacate our classrooms and the office (18 and over please). Thanks in advance!
Today is our 8th Grade Brunch at 10:30am in the Hall and tonight is our Sports Banquet in the Hall at 6:30pm. The Kindergarten class will have their field trip at Mas Fukai this morning. 6th and 7th grade will go on field trips on June 7 and 9.
Our 8th grade Graduation is this Friday, June 10 and that is also the same day of the Folklorico event that evening in the Hall.
Kinder Promotion is on June 15. Our last day of school is June 16. The last full day of school is on June 13 and we have Noon Dismissals June 14-16. There is no Daycare on June 16, the last day of school.
Join us for Mass on the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua next Monday, June 13 at 10am in the church. It is also Msgr. Sal’s 30th ordination anniversary of becoming a priest, and Ms. Pattie Padilla’s birthday! Lots to celebrate this month, as we finish up our school year.

Shea Family Charities will be renovating our school over the summer from June 20-September 5. The new school year will start on 8/29/22 for students in Grades 1-8. Kinder starts on 9/6. Please note this. We typically start school in mid-August, but that is not possible this year. We may need to start school online (on Zoom) if the construction is not done on time. The first weeks of school will be Noon Dismissal. Please help us clean up our learning lab, garage, office, and our classrooms from June 14-15 and pack everything away, when the 4 big storage bins will be on campus starting June 13. Our school will offer service hours to parents and students from 1-4pm on those days. Please reach out to the office or your teachers if you are able to volunteer. We will be purging, cleaning, and organizing our classrooms for the renovations. We hope to have everything packed and put away by June 10, but June 16 at the latest. Thanks in advance for your help! Everything in the K-8 classrooms, the learning lab, library, and garage must be packed up completely.
