Dear Students, Parents/Guardians,
Happy Labor Day! I hope you and your families had a wonderful long weekend together. Tomorrow, 9/6, is the First day of school for Kindergarten! We will have morning assembly outside by the St. Jude statue with the whole school. Since our junior high will be attending Mass DAILY, we will plan to meet at least once a week (usually on Wednesdays) as a whole school outside for morning assembly, but tomorrow is the exception. Every other day we will do announcements at 7:50 over the PA system.
Kindergarten will have 12 NOON dismissal this and next week. For Grades 1-8, dismissal this week is at 3pm daily, except 1:30pm on Wednesday.. Daycare is offered from 12-6pm for Kinder students this and next week with Ms. Pattie Padilla. Morning care starts daily at 7:30am, when a staff member is on duty supervising students.
This Thursday, 9/8, is Our Blessed Mother Mary’s birthday. Grades 3-8 will attend Mass and then the whole school will join together to pray the rosary at 1:15pm and have a celebration. On Friday, 9/9, we have our next All School Mass in the church. Msgr. Sal will bless our newly renovated school after the Mass and will bless each classroom with holy water.
We have had 6 reported positive cases of COVID on campus in the last week. Testing before coming to school is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If you are considered a close contact, you must test immediately and if negative and asymptomatic, keep an eye on the symptoms and come masked to prevent the spread. In an effort to mitigate the spread to others, please turn a negative test result in to your teachers before coming on campus tomorrow. Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping everyone safe. Please follow the flowchart and all safety protocols. Thank you and God bless.
