Good Evening Kindergarten Families,
Thank you all for an amazing first week of school! It has been such a joy getting to know our new Kinder students. They are truly a special bunch.
Today our students worked hard towards becoming glue bottle certified. We discussed our Tribes Agreements which are, attentive listening, mutual respect, appreciations/ no put downs, right to pass/participate, and personal best. We specifically discussed what attentive listening looks, sounds, and feels like. The students enjoy telling me, “Mrs. McCabe, do your best” as we collaborate to make charts.
Drop Off and Pick Up
As a reminder, drop off begins at 7:30am. When students arrive they should place their green folder in the crate, hang up their backpacks, and wait on the blue bench.
Parents should depart before or promptly at 7:50am. We kindly ask that you say your goodbyes before lining up and do not wait for students to enter the classroom. This allows a smoother transition to the beginning of our day together at school.
Next week noon dismissal continues for Kindergarten students only. Please park in the school lot on Berendo and walk to the Kindergarten classroom for pick up. Additionally, during dismissal I am responsible to supervise the students and ensure their safety, therefore I am unable to answer parent questions during this time.
Uniforms
Students should wear their school uniform daily moving forward. Please check the school handbook for details on uniform, hair, socks, shoes, jackets and accessories. Girls should NOT have nail polish. I understand there may be some delays in receiving items from Vicki Marsha Uniform. If this is the case, please let me know. We have a Gently Used Uniform Sale coming on on 9/12 and 9/13.
As always,if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me or schedule a meeting.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Peace and Joy,
Mrs. McCabe
