For our Halloween celebration coming up next Monday, 10/31/22 (there will be a 12 Noon Dismissal, and daycare will be till 3pm). Here are some Halloween Reminders to help the day run as smoothly as possible. All students and adults volunteering may dress in their favorite appropriate Halloween costume and must follow these guidelines. The events are for students only. Adults working at or volunteering on campus for Trunk or Treat may earn up to 4 hours for decorating their trunks and helping to pass out candy. See Lorena Lakey for more info on Trunk or Treat.
Teachers will be asking students in advance what costumes they intend to wear. They must be appropriate and pre-approved, or a student may be sent home to change.
- Costumes should be child-friendly. No inflatables, no gory or scary costumes, no devils, or demonic looking costumes.
- Costumes Should Not:
- Be obstructive, offensive, inappropriate for a Catholic school (skimpy or revealing), evil, or violent
- Drag on the ground
- Contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another person.
- Contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Encourage cross-dressing. Boys dress up like boys and girls dress up like girls.
Students have to be able to sit down in their seats and come to school already dressed in their costumes. Junior high students will attend Mass in the morning and change into costumes, if they so choose. Students will bring their own bag/pail for Trunk or Treat. Masks may be worn for the parade only, but they must not obstruct vision and eyes must be visible at all times. Masks will be taken off after the parade and picture taking. Please be sure costumes meet all these guidelines.
Our Kindergarten students attend their first All School Mass with us this Friday, 10/28! Tonight is our first meeting this year with Meet the Masters in Rm 16 at 6:30pm tonight. Thank you to Laura Marquez and Espy Jacobs for leading this PLC.

4 MANDATORY MEETINGS THIS YEAR (See Tuition Contract)
Parents, when you registered online the last 2 years, we have had on our tuition contract 4 mandatory parent meetings. 3 are General parent meetings in Sept, Feb, and May. We added one mandatory parent faith formation meeting around November, per Msgr. Sal’s request. He eventually wants to do this once a month or every other month next year. For this year, we are offering an event on 10/29 on Spiritual Warfare, which is long, so we will also give you 2 service hours for attending this event only. Those who cannot make it or choose not to attend that event have the option to attend another event. The Truth of the Cross was held this Saturday 10/22. A third option is to attend a speech during school hours on John Paul the Great in the Hall with the Junior high students. It’s on 11/8 from 10:30-12. All 3 options are available to parents to meet this mandatory requirement and not be fined $50. 2 SERVICE HOURS will ONLY be given for these events, along with one free ticket to the 10/29 event.
ALL SAINTS’ DAY ON NOVEMBER 1
The day after Halloween, all students and staff are invited to dress up as saints. For the 8am Mass, all K-8 students will process into the church from the back, dressed up as a saint. Families are welcome to join us for this special Mass.
St. Anthony – Pray for us
