Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our fantastic Folklorico Dance group performed magnificently at the Gardena Cinco de Mayo Parade on Saturday. Thank you to the parents and students for your incredible effort. Thank you to Ms. Martha Zambrano and Ms. Alexis for preparing our students to represent us so well!
This Wednesday, 5/3, is the Mandatory Parent Meeting for parents K-8 in the Hall. The meeting begins at 6:30pm so please make sure to send one parent or family member to attend (limited seating). There will be no daycare, so please leave children at home. There is a $50 fine for non-attendance. Please arrive on time to sign in.
This Friday, 5/5, we enjoy Muffins with Mom as an early Mothers’ Day Celebration. We will proceed to the hall after 8am Mass, where the mothers pick up muffins with their children after the 8 a.m. mass. After Muffins with Mom, students must go back to their classrooms with their teacher. Dads are asked to help volunteer and serve. Claudia Guzman and Francisca Gonzalez are our Hospitality PLC Chairs. Please respond to their requests and sign up to volunteer for this event.
Yearbooks are now $40. Reserve your hardcover Yearbook now by sending a check made payable to the School with an order form.
Fiesta ride tickets went on sale this weekend after every Mass. We also have ride tickets on sale in the office. Congratulations to all those who won the raffle for free wristbands to the Fiesta, valued at $120 a wristband. Those who earned Citizenship 2 trimesters in a row this year (and did not win a free wristband in the raffle) can buy up to 2 wristbands for $60 each. This is the best deal and wristbands sell out fast, so be sure to buy your presale tickets and wristbands before they sell out. Tickets are more expensive at the Fiesta, so buy your ride sheet tickets early! They are $30 for a sheet of 10 tickets and it costs 1 ride per ticket. It will be an exciting experience for all, and we are blessed to have our Fiesta return after 3 years.
Thank you to all who helped sort Fiesta items on Saturday. You were able to earn service hours for your help. Families, we will be asking for Fiesta donations so please help by bringing items in. Each class will bring in something different. A flier will be going home soon.
Finally, thanks for all your votes for the Daily Breeze, we hope to hear some good news from them in the next few weeks.
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO for RETURNING FAMILIES
Re-Registration for current students is now complete. All registration forms need to be filled out online via FACTS.. If you have questions, please email Mr. Aguilar. Those with registration holds may not register for next year until your hold is expressly lifted by administration. Open Enrollment to the public began on 3/1/23. Those not registered will be automatically waitlisted.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral. Please see the handbook. Remind your kids to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
