Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for making Teacher Appreciation Week incredibly special for all of us last week! I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family celebrating Mothers’ Day and honoring the mother figures in our lives who show us how to love. We thank our mothers and grandmothers for all they have done for us, especially here at St.Anthony of Padua. We are blessed to have a beautiful community of mothers who are willing to go above and beyond for their children. We thank our PLC leads Amy Lucas Palanca, Mr. and Mrs. Pineda, and Lorena Lakey for leading us. Our Muffins with Moms event was a great success, and we are truly grateful to Claudia Guzman and Francisca Gonzalez for organizing this wonderful event. We thank Priscilla Ortiz for the beautiful decorations and setup. We look forward to Donuts with Dads next on May 26!
Last Friday, our eighth graders led our school in the rosary and presented flower bouquets with students of all grade levels to Our Blessed Mother for our May Crowning, before Adoration and Benediction. Seeing the entire school come together to honor our Mother Mary was simply beautiful. We would like to thank Pricilla Ortiz, Claudia Guzman, and Mr. Richardson for organizing this memorable occasion for our school.
Fiesta starts this week! Monday–Wednesday, 3/15-3/17, we have Noon dismissal because of the setup of the rides. We will be having daycare on Monday till 6pm, and then tomorrow Tuesday, 5/16, daycare is until 3pm. On Wednesday, 5/17, school ends at noon and we will have NO daycare that day. Note that there is no school May 18-22. This is an exciting time for our parish and for our school because we haven’t had a Fiesta for 3 years! Please join us May 19-21 and help us raise money for this annual fundraiser. School will resume on May 23, 2023 after the Fiesta.
Parent Service hours are due on 6/2. Check with the office and current events that are coming up so you can reach all your service hours before the deadline. Students and parents can earn service hours on May 22 Fiesta Clean up Day.
Yearbooks are $40. Reserve your hardcover Yearbook now by sending a check made payable to the School with an order form.
Finally, we wish to welcome John Farley, our new 4th grade teacher for next year. We also want to congratulate Mr. Lynch on his new position as principal at St. Lawrence of Brindisi School. We have much to thank God for!
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO for RETURNING FAMILIES
Re-Registration for current students is now complete. All registration forms need to be filled out online via FACTS. If you have questions, please email them to Mr. Aguilar. Those with registration holds may not register for next year until your hold is expressly lifted by administration. Open Enrollment to the public began on 3/1/23. Those not registered will be automatically waitlisted.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects (HFO) to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral, especially if it results in an injury. Please see the handbook for consequences. Please remind your children to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue. Thanks in advance for your cooperation in making sure we do not have these boundary violations so we can continue to keep all our students safe.
