Chuck E Cheese Social Fundraiser (10/22)
Friends and Families of our 8th Grade class are invited to join our social / fundraiser on October 22nd at Chuck E Cheese located in Carson. The fundraiser runs from 3-9pm and our social is from 5-7pm.
Poinsettia Sale
It’s time for the next eighth grade fundraiser! It will be the yearly poinsettia sale. I know it’s hard to start thinking of Christmas in October but it will be here soon ! This is a great opportunity for our students to raise money towards their eighth grade activities. It has been a success in past years and we hope to make it a success for our class of 2025. We need to start off by knowing which students want to opt-in. In order to participate, it is required that each student pre-pay for 6 poinsettias ($90) and make payment in the office to Mr. Aguilar no later than Wednesday, October 23rd. This payment will be your buy-in for this fundraiser.
JH NET Retreat: Searching for families to host our NET missionaries
We are again searching for families to host our NET missionaries. These well-vetted, young adults give nine months of their lives, putting college or career on hold, to proclaim the Gospel to young people. They leave their families, get put on a team with relative strangers, and travel hundreds, or even thousands of miles in a 12 passenger van, to give spiritual retreats to middle school and high school students. They live out of a suitcase and use sleeping bags for a bed each night. They don’t expect their own private room- just a clean floor or sofa and a bathroom and sometimes a washer and dryer to put on a load of laundry. Of course, they do need dinner each night and breakfast before leaving each morning. This is all for the love of Jesus!
Please consider hosting two men or two women as part of your child’s NET retreat experience. You will not regret it. You will be supporting the work of these young missionaries in a very tangible way. Attached are the specific dates for housing and meals. Please email me if you feel called to host two men or two women.
