First Grade

Welcome to the First Grade Home Page!

Ms. Silva was born and raised in the South Bay. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies for Elementary Education at San Jose State University, where she gained experience working at a variety of elementary and middle schools (even swim schools!) in the Bay Area. She attended graduate school at Loyola Marymount University as a part of the Catholic Archdiocesan School Teachers (CAST) program where she earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. This is Ms. Silva’s fourth year on the St. Anthony of Padua team. She loves teaching first grade and is always excited about sharing her love for learning with her students. Educating children’s hearts and spirits is equally as important to her as educating their minds- to lead them to the understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. She also loves sharing her love for dancing as the school’s dance coach. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Silva loves to run, hike, and travel to new places!
