Welcome to the Kindergarten Home Page!
Mrs. McCabe has been involved with St. Anthony of Padua since 2015 when she created SAP’s Accelerated Reading Library and with the Steinmetz Foundation brought Vision to Learn to its students. Passionate about books, she worked as interim librarian and taught Great Books at American Martyrs Catholic School, established St. Lawrence of Brindisi’s 9,000 volume library and has been on the executive board of the Friends of the Manhattan Beach Library since 2006. As a previous St. Anthony substitute teacher, Mrs. McCabe has enjoyed being full time for the last two years, most recently as the Kindergarten teacher.
As a previous researcher with the National Science Foundation, Mrs. McCabe highly values education and nurturing a curious mind. She has extensive experience working with nonprofits and foundations to better underserved and charter elementary schools. She also has worked in the corporate world, including the Walt Disney Company. She earned her BA from Stanford University having double majored in Economics and Sociology. She also received her Master’s Degree from Stanford University. A resident of the South Bay, Mrs. McCabe and her husband are long-time parishioners at American Martyrs where their three children attended elementary school.
Having grown up in Hawaii, she loves family reunions and sharing stories with her brother, also a Kindergarten teacher. Mrs. McCabe feels truly blessed to be a part of the St. Anthony of Padua community.
