If you still need to get Fingerprinted through the ADLA (once you have done it within the Archdiocese of LA, you’re all set), here are the sites for August. We also have one at our school on Sept. 22. Please see our calendar’s important dates on our website for Virtus Training dates at our school too. (Sept. 16 and 30) You must sign up with Madonna Castro at the Religious Ed office if you want to attend a session at our school. You cannot just show up that day. You must sign up in advance. The revised fingerprinting form to bring is below.
As for the Virtus Training, you may have earned a certificate in the past, but if you have not been staying current with your bulletins by going online and reading them every month, your certificate may have expired. Each person teaching or working with children must have these items in order to be able to work at the school. This goes for all volunteers as well. Please spread the word!
Thanks for your compliance with this important matter.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles requires all volunteers at our school to be fingerprinted and have safe environment (VIRTUS) training PRIOR to working with our students. St. Anthony’s will be hosting Livescan Fingerprinting for ADLA at our school in the Parish Hall on Sept 22, 2015, from 12pm-3:40 pm and 5pm-7:20pm.
Applicants will need to bring either their Driver’s License & Social Security Card OR their Passport and Social Security Card.
Secondly, volunteers need to complete their Virtus training to help us safeguard all children. Please bring a copy of your Livescan receipt and Virtus Certificate of Completion and submit it to Maria Grimaldo at the school office or it can be e-mailed to her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
St. Anthony’s will be hosting a Virtus Training at our school in the Parish Hall on Sept. 16: at 6pm (ENGLISH) and Sept. 30 in the Hall at 6pm (SPANISH).
All parents will have a name tag available at our school office to wear while on campus once their fingerprinting and online safe environment training results are complete to show proof that you are cleared to be on campus as a volunteer working with our children. All visitors must check in and out of the office at all times and must wear a VISITOR badge, otherwise they cannot volunteer for school activities with children.
The online safety training program needs to be repeated once every 4 years, but can be updated regularly by doing monthly online trainings to stay current. If you don’t update it you can lose your status and have to start Virtus training all over again. For more info on Virtus trainings and online bulletins, please visit www.virtusonline.org.
NOTE: Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of LA (ADLA) is done only 1 time.
If you have any concerns or questions about our safe environment here at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School, please email me at email@example.com.
Have a happy and safe summer!
God bless you,
Mrs. Angela Grey
