Mrs. Marianne Dyogi is the 6th Grade Homeroom and Junior High English Language Arts teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Cal State Long Beach and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University. She has 18 years of experience teaching in the junior high and high school levels throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Her most treasured moments in the classroom have grown out of authentic connections with her students and their families, as she longs to see each child develop into the person God made him or her to be. Catholic education has always been Mrs. Dyogi’s passion, and after she got married and became pregnant with her first daughter, she and her husband took their role as primary educators on to another level and decided that they wanted to homeschool their own children. It was a very special season for the Dyogi family, particularly in the formation of strong parent-child and sibling relationships. But God had different plans and called them to this gem of a Catholic school to serve the greater Church community.
Mrs. Dyogi’s integrated philosophy of Religion and English/Language Arts education keeps the universal call to holiness central in our appreciation of literature and practical applications for creative and expository writing. She helps students form the lens of faith that they look through when reading an author’s work. As they learn to express themselves in the written word, they discover that there is incredible power in what we say to others and how it impacts the human family. Studying literary works from and about the past gives us an opportunity to take the best from Church history and move forward into the future with valuable knowledge to effect positive changes in society.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Dyogi is also a certified Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner and finds great fulfillment in strengthening marriages, helping women realize their true dignity, and supporting God’s plan for life and love. As a wife and mother of 5 children, she understands the importance of an active faith that carries families through times of trials into the joy and peace of Christ. There is nothing she loves more than having conversations about Jesus and praying with and for others. It is her hope and prayer that every encounter she has leads her and everyone she knows one step closer to being a saint.
