Welcome to the Eighth Grade Home Page!
Steven Richardson is looking forward to partnering with parents in developing the hearts and minds of their children in the rich tradition of Catholicism. He has 13 years of classroom teaching experience and many more years serving the Church in various ministries including serving as a NET missionary in the Midwest, marriage preparation classes, Confirmation programs and family camps.
Mr. Richardson is a new member of the St. Anthony of Padua community and serves as the 8th grade homeroom and middle school Religion and History teacher, as well as the Student Government Mediator. He is a faithful, devout Catholic with a passion for teaching the faith and academics in a way that impacts students’ daily lives.
Going on 12 years of marriage, Mr. Richardson and his wife are forming their five young children to be witnesses of Christ’s generous love. They enjoy taking summer road trips to learn first hand the beauty and history of our great nation. So far they have traversed 14 states and visited several significant religious and historical sites.
Mr. Richardson earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Cal State Fullerton and his Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University. He started his teaching career in Catholic schools for seven years and has spent the last six years teaching multiple subjects in public school, always teaching at the middle school level. He is excited to return to Catholic education and incorporate the faith back into his classroom.
