Good Afternoon Kinder Parents,
I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. This week we will continue to focus on the long i with silent e. Our sight words are help, have, one, every, ask, walk. In math we began chapter 12 today, focusing on classifying and sorting data. We will be working on how-to writing this week. Thursday we will celebrate the Feast of the Ascension.
There will be no school May 22nd- 25th in honor of Memorial Day.
Please continue to check in for attendance daily by posting a response to the circle time video. Students who do not post on seesaw will be marked absent for the day.
If your child would prefer to complete any drawing assignments on paper and post a photo of them, rather than using the drawing tools on seesaw that is perfectly fine. However, students should continue to use their writing journals for writing assignments. Students need continued practice with handwriting and mechanics, which is why using the writing journal is required.
Also, I wanted to update you all on our kindergarten promotion. Due to the extended stay at home orders, we are planning a drive-through promotion on Tuesday, June 16th. We are working on finalizing details, but we have ordered caps, stoles, and medals for our kinder students. Once they arrive, we will set up a day to pick up these items, ahead of the promotion.
Finally, if you haven’t already, please take a moment to vote for St. Anthony of Padua School as the BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE South Bay! http://dailybreeze.readerschoice.la/
