Dear Parents and Guardians,
First off, I wish to send a heartfelt thank you to all who made my birthday a memorable one, despite being in quarantine and LA County being under 5pm curfew last Monday, 6/1! Our staff surprised me after work with a car parade, dinner, a cake, and gifts, and I got some beautiful email messages and flowers from our junior high students. I loved seeing my Kindergarten students on a Zoom call on my birthday. I have missed my students so much!. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind gestures of love and appreciation, and for making me feel so special. It is a tremendous blessing to be alive, and to serve our school community here at St. Anthony’s. I thank the Lord every day for the opportunity to lead this school.
Finally, I want to say how proud I am of our Student Government officers. They served us well this year. The latest election results are in, and tomorrow, we will have a Zoom Installation of our new Student Government officers. The torch will be passed, and I commend all our new leaders! Thank you to Mr. Perry for spearheading our Student Government this year and for leading our online elections. We were notified that Student Government sweatshirts will be delivered by the end of the month. We will let you know when they arrive. The Installation has a limit of 100 people so please allow the families of the new officers to be allowed in first. Mr. Perry can send out that link.
This is our 8th graders’ last week of school. Our prayers go with them as they prepare for graduation (this Friday, June 12) and beyond. We pray that they continue to represent our school and their families well. As a special remembrance, yearbooks will be given to all who purchased one. Due to the backlog of all orders and companies being short-staffed at this time, we are expecting our yearbooks to arrive by the end of June. We will notify you when they are delivered.
Our 3rd Trimester Awards will take place in individual classrooms on a Zoom call. Please lookout for more information from your child’s teachers re: this link.
God bless,
Mrs. Grey, Principal

SCHOOL DONATIONS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip and donate to the school for overhead expenses. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Home Depot for Beautification of our school, and Office Depot for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $10/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. Thanks for your generosity to our school!
