Hello Kinder Parents, We are entering our first full week of school tomorrow! Please review the attached weekly schedule as well as our small groups.
We will begin using our handwriting book, Writing Our Catholic Faith. Please mark the page for your student in the handwriting book (40-41), so it will be easier for them to find. We are also using the Go Math textbook, the one printed in color. You can mark the pages, or tear them out for your student. It is a difficult task to find a specific page in a textbook, so any help is appreciated.
We will have materials pick up tomorrow from 12:15pm-4:00pm. Materials will be placed outside the kindergarten classroom and are labeled with your child’s name. Because of the delay in the Religion materials, we will likely ask parents to pick up after Mass on Friday as well.
This Friday is our all school drive-in Mass at 9:30am. All are welcome to attend. Please wear your masks. Students who are unable to attend in person, should watch the live stream.
Friday will be an asynchronous work day with activities assigned on SeeSaw. We will also meet for Fun Friday from 1:00pm-1:30pm.
Music and PE classes will begin this week. Please contact Mrs. Garcia at jgarcia@stanthonygardena.org with any questions regarding music class. Mrs. Rubalcava can be reached at mrubalcava@stanthonygardena.org for any questions regarding PE class.
Student work should be submitted on SeeSaw daily, however there is a grace period until the end of day Friday for assignments. Please be sure to add a response directly to the activity. You can add multiple photos at once by pressing the add page icon. This will help make posting work faster for families, and will help me with checking student work. SeeSaw is also used to send quick announcements and reminders.
There is no school on Monday, September 7th in honor of Labor Day. Wednesday, September 9th, is our BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT ZOOM Mandatory General Parent Meeting at 6:30pm. We will be breaking out into grade levels after our Mandatory General Parent Meeting.
And finally, in an effort to aid parents with their role in Distance Learning and lay out clear expectations for Students and their families, please see the Distance Learning Handbook:
