Hello 6th Grade Parents,
Welcome back to school to all of our SAP families! Here are details and procedures for our first week of school:
First off, regarding the email sent earlier this week by Mrs. Grey, you will have to do screening questions daily for all students before coming to school. Fortunately, you can enter all your children on one form. Here is the link for the Screening questions.
https://forms.gle/w1VvM2VcGupof74d7 (I also have the QR code for the questions attached). For easy access, you can save this as a shortcut on your phone’s Home Screen:
1. Open the link above
2. Tap “Share” button (square with arrow pointing up)
3. Tap “Add to Home Screen” + Add
Individual and Classroom supplies will be collected this week – Wednesday through Friday. All Summer Projects are also due tomorrow.
Please make sure students come tomorrow with their supplies and a fully charged tablet/laptop. Just a reminder that this week is Free Dress with 12 Noon dismissals.
We will have 8am School Mass this Friday, so please make sure the students come to school appropriately dressed – NO tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, or open-toed shoes.
Uniforms will be required starting next Monday.
Below are some procedures regarding drop-off and pick up, as well as our safety plan reminders.
Morning Drop off Procedures
- Morning Drop Off and pick up at carline will be done the same way as we did in the past, pre-pandemic (See attached diagram)
- In the morning, you will drive through the gates on Berendo and pull up next to the cones to the available space. Please follow the directions of the staff. Your child will grab their belongings and proceed to their waiting area (shown on diagram). You may then exit through the gates on 161st street.
- Once again, we are encouraging parents to drop off only and not stay for assemblies, to limit the amount of people on campus.
- If attending morning Mass at 8am, please park in the small parking lot (Berendo gate side).
- You must have your Child at school by 7:50 to not be marked tardy. Any student who arrives after 7:50am will be marked as Tardy.
- Please read through the Parent Student Handbook for more information regarding Tardy Time
Afternoon Pick Up Procedures
- Afternoon pickup will also be done the same way we did in the past (please see attached diagram for where to go) Enter through the Berendo Gate and Exit through 161st.
- Any 6th graders with Younger Siblings, will go to the youngest siblings area to be picked up.
- Any 6th graders with Older Siblings, the oldest sibling will wait with the 6th graders to be picked up.
- If your child will need Daycare, please email Mrs. Grey or Mrs. Padilla to check for availability.
- If you do not pick up your child 15 minutes after the bell rings, they will be charged for Daycare services.
Here are some reminders about our Safety Plan (this was previously sent by Mrs. Grey).
- If you and your family travel out of the state or country with in the last two weeks, we please ask that you provide proof of negative COVID test result to me and front office to return to campus. We are asked to do contact tracing and to report any positive cases at our school. If you know you have been exposed to anyone who tested positive for COVID, regardless of vaccination status, please notify the school.
- If we have 3 positive cases within a 2 week period, we may be asked to shut our school down.
- A face mask is required at all times inside buildings for staff, students, and parents. It is optional if you want to wear it outdoors. If you don’t have a mask when inside the building, we will provide one for you. If a student or staff member has a medical exemption and cannot wear a mask, you may wear a face shield with a neck drape covering the bottom of the shield.
- All families and parents are aware of the severity of the current situation. That being said, it should be very clear that no student or adult showing any COVID symptoms should be on campus.
- If a student comes to campus sick or a parent calls letting us know the family was exposed to someone who tested positive, the student will be quarantined in a separate room on campus and parents will be called to pick them up immediately.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Let’s pray for a smooth transition for the 6th graders and a blessed school year. We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Blessings,
Mrs. Dyogi
