Good evening first grade parents,
Blessed Monday! Just sending additional reminders for tomorrow. Please read all the information below carefully.
Star test
Our STAR testing will start tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug 31st. Please make sure your child had enough sleep and healthy breakfast for this week. This test will assess what your child knows from kinder. All students will use their own headphones and MUST have their iPads/tablets 100% charged.
Ipads/tablets & headphones drop off bins every morning
Starting tomorrow, right after dropping off their blue homework folders, students must also drop off their iPads/ tablets in their assigned bins for each table. Students should know their table #’s. Headphones must be placed in a Ziploc bag with their class # on it. This is a new morning routine for our firsties. Hopefully by the end of this week, they’ll be able to do it independently.
School jackets
I have noticed some students were wearing jackets or sweaters that don’t have our school color. Please refer to our handbook for details about the uniform to avoid uniform infractions.
2. Jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves
- Navy jacket with school logo
- Navy blue sweatshirt with school logo:
1) Navy blue school sweatshirt with SAP logo
2) FAST grey sweatshirt
3) Current 8th grade sweatshirts
4) This new St Anthony Trojans Navy Blue Sweatshirt for current athletes only
5) Current Student Government sweatshirts if there is one for current year (Enforcement of this begins in the classrooms too. Sweatshirts #3 and #4 are privileges and should only be worn by current 8th graders and current athletes on NON mass days)
- Students who do not have official school jackets must either purchase official jackets or wear plain navy blue jackets/windbreakers. It must match the uniform or students may be sent to the office until parents bring their proper attire. No jackets with designs. On winter days, students may wear heavier jackets, but the color must match the uniform. If a uniform is in question, parents will be notified immediately.
- No prints. Logos, sequins/glitter on attire. Must match school colors- Black, White, Navy or Gray
Blue homework folder & behavior chart
Students MUST return their blue homework folder to school every day WITH their signed behavior chart. A bin will be placed outside the first grade classroom every morning for these folders. They should be placed in number order. This should be done as soon as they hang their backpacks. Turning in homework folder every morning will be part of their work habits grade.
Parents/guardians are asked to sign their behavior chart every day to ensure you are informed on your child’s progress. This will then be entered into Gradelink every end of the week. Every day, behavior charts are being checked so parents please check your child’s behavior chart and sign it. If the behavior chart is not signed or is lost, points will be taken off of their behavior grade.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. God Bless!
Warmly,
Ms. Martinez
