WORD STUDY
– Focus with Long Vowel Sounds (/a/ in acorn, /e/ in eagle, /i/ in ice cream, /o/ in ocean, and /u/ in uniform)
– Practice identifying the long vowel sounds.
TARGETED VOCABULARY
– Must practice correct spelling.
— trial (a meeting in court to decide if someone has broken the law)
— jury (the group of people who make the decision in a trial)
— stand (the place where a witness in trial sits while being questioned)
— guilty (having done something wrong)
— honest (truthful)
— convinced (made someone believe or agree to something)
— pointed (used a finger to show where something was)
— murmur (the sound of people speaking very softly)
– Use Context Clues: Understand / define words used in different sentences.

LATE CLASSWORK/HOMEWORK QUESTION
– There will be a 1 point deduction from the total points for each work submitted late, week after it was assigned.
– Students should turn in homework on Fridays.
– Classwork must be completed day, IF not completed students should bring it home and back the following day.
