Hello Third Grade Families!
Happy Easter! Hallelujah, Christ is Risen!
We are starting our novel reading of The Lemonade War. This will be a bit of change in our green folders as they become Novel Study folders! Rather than turning in their green folder with their vocabulary and taking it out each week, they will hole punch and keep their work until we finish the project on 5/30. Each week they will write chapter summaries and use their book vocabulary for their weekly spelling and vocabulary tests. Books are provided in the classroom.
Notice: In science, we are going to be making fossils! On Monday we will walk in front of the church to gather flowers, leaves, and twigs. The class will be accompanied by an aide. If you do not feel comfortable having your child leave the classroom, please let me know, and they can wait at the blue tables until we are finished collecting.
Progress reports: Progress reports are coming out next week Wednesday 4/26. We have only had three full weeks, so this is just a snapshot early on of their performance in class. If they have any make-up work or re-submissions have them come after school to tutoring. Tutoring is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:00.
Next week we are going to be measuring! Please buy a simple ruler by next Monday.
