Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week is dedicated to recognizing our outstanding teachers and staff, as we join the nation in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week! We honor our phenomenal educators for their tireless efforts and dedication to our children. I’m so proud of my teachers and staff for their compassion, hard work, and commitment to guiding our students to sainthood.
This Friday, May 12 we will be celebrating Mary’s Day. The morning begins with Mass at 8am, followed by May Crowning at 1:15pm in the church. Mr. Richardson and our 8th graders have been working hard to make this day extra special. Our students will be presenting flowers to our Blessed Mother and will crown our Queen of Heaven. Parents and loved ones are invited to attend.
It’s Fiesta time! Starting next week, Monday to Wednesday 5/15-5/17, we have early dismissal at 12 noon. We will be offering daycare the first two days. On Monday, daycare is until 6pm. On Tuesday daycare is until 3pm, and on Wednesday there is NO DAYCARE. Our Fiesta is Friday-Sunday May 19-21. Please bring in your child’s class donations for the Fiesta by this Wed, May 10. Thank you for your help and support!
Due to the Fiesta setup, there are Student Free Days (no school for students) on 5/18, 5/19 and 5/22. Mark your calendars! Since our last Fiesta was three years ago pre-COVID, this is a wonderful opportunity to bring back this tradition and remember how much fun being together with our parish community can be. I hope to see you there! Ride tickets, raffle tickets, and wristband tickets are on sale in the school office all week. The top sellers of the raffle tickets can win a cash prize from Rose Moore for $100. Whoever wins the raffle can get up to $5000!
Reserve your hardcover Yearbook now by sending a check made payable to the School with an order form. Yearbooks are $40.
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO for RETURNING FAMILIES
Re-Registration for current students is now complete. All registration forms need to be filled out online via FACTS.. If you have questions, please email Mr. Aguilar. Those with registration holds may not register for next year until your hold is expressly lifted by administration. Open Enrollment to the public began on 3/1/23. Those not registered will be automatically waitlisted.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral. Please see the handbook. Remind your kids to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
