Dear SAP School Families,
Happy Memorial Day! We pray in a special way for all the loved ones we have lost along the way. For the repose of their souls, so that they may be happy in eternity, as they wait in joyful hope for us to join them in Heaven. Today, we also honor the brave men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military, especially those who paid the price for our freedom in making the ultimate sacrifice. There is no school today, but we will see you all tomorrow!
On Wednesday, 5/31, there will be classroom performances in the Hall, led by Mrs. Garcia, our Music teacher. Kinder, Second, and Fourth graders will be performing in the hall from 8:30am-10:30am. See you there!
On Thursday, 6/1, there will be classroom performances by grades 1, 3, and 5. They will also be in the Hall from 8:30-10:30 am.
This Friday, 6/2, we will be having our Student Government Inauguration at 1pm. The ceremony will be held in the church after lunch. Parents are welcome to attend mass and see the procession of the school’s new fellow leaders as the 8th graders pass the torch to incoming student leaders.
Parent Service hours are due on Friday, 6/2. Check with the office and current events that are coming up for you to have all your service hours in order!
Open enrollment to the public began on March 1. If you did not register, your child will be automatically waitlisted. Those on a registration hold may not register until your hold is lifted by administration. All accounts must be current in order for your child to re-register as well.
Yearbooks are on sale for $40. Reserve your hardcover Yearbook now by sending a check made payable to the School with an order form.
We hope to see you all at Newsies Jr this Friday and Sat in the Hall at 7pm. Tacos el Parque will be selling tacos on both nights, and we look forward to seeing you there. Get your tickets today, as shows are selling out fast! Our 8th graders will have noon dismissal all next week as they get ready for Graduation on June 9. Enjoy these last few weeks of school and let’s finish the year strong!
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO for RETURNING FAMILIES
Re-Registration for current students is now complete. All registration forms need to be filled out online via FACTS. If you have questions, please email Mr. Aguilar. Those with registration holds may not register for next year until your hold is expressly lifted by administration. Open Enrollment to the public began on 3/1/23. Those not registered will be automatically waitlisted.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral. Please see the handbook. Remind your kids to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
