Dear Parents and Guardians,
At graduation last Friday, we recognized our eighth graders for their hard work and accomplishments. It was a lovely Mass and Commencement ceremony. Congratulations to all our families and students on this great milestone achievement! We hope our graduates stay in touch and we look forward to seeing all that God has planned for them. Best of luck in high school. Thank you to all our junior high teachers for all your hard work, especially Mr. Richardson, for all your hard work and planning all the 8th grade festivities. Yesterday was the Feast of Corpus Christi, and we thank Our Lord for all His graces upon us.
Today, 6/12, some of our junior high students will be going to Knott’s Berry Farm. Our student government members, as well as those who have completed their ST Math goal early (back in April), are going on a field trip. Students on campus will help clean classrooms to get ready for summer. They can come to school in appropriate free dress today and Wednesday.
On Tuesday, 6/13, we celebrate Msgr. Sal’s 31st ordination anniversary, and the Feast of St. Anthony of Padua! It is also Ms. Pattie Padilla’s birthday! We will have Mass at 10am in the church, and all are welcome to join us. There will be a special blessing of bread and lilies on this feast day of our school’s patron saint. Students will come to school in Formal Mass uniforms for the 10am Mass. The preschoolers from across the street may join us as well.
Just a reminder that we have Noon Dismissal all week from June 12-15. There will be NO DAYCARE offered on June 15, our last day of school.
This coming Wed 6/14, we will be having our Kindergarten Promotion in the Hall! We are thrilled for our Kindergartners who are ready to become Awesome Firsties! It’s an exciting moment for both parents and students. We congratulate all Kinder parents and Ms. McCabe on completing their first school year at SAP!
On 6/14 the fifth graders will also celebrate their promotion to junior high. Congratulations!
On Thursday, 6/15, it is our last day of school. We will be having our 3rd trimester Mass and Awards ceremony starting at 8am in the church. Parents and family members are more than welcome to come. Report cards will be passed out that day if your account is current with Mr. Aguilar in the office. We will not pass report cards out early. Students may come to school in Formal Mass Uniforms or in Sunday Best on Thursday, 6/15. You may sign your child out of school after Mass. There is NO DAYCARE on 6/15. It is noon dismissal, so it’s our last day of school.
Open enrollment to the public began on March 1. If you did not register, your child will be automatically waitlisted. Those on a registration hold may not register until your hold is lifted by administration. All accounts must be current in order for your child to receive their report card and re-register for next school year.
Yearbooks have been distributed to K-7 students who ordered them. As a reminder, students may not cross out their face or anyone else’s face or use profanity in our yearbooks. Parents have paid money for these books and other students should not deface their property. This is a memento meant to last for years to come. Thank you to Mr. Zahn and the Yearbook Committee for doing such a fantastic job on our yearbook!
Blessings,
Mrs. Grey and Mr. Lynch

SCHOOL DONATIONS AND SERVICE HOURS
For families looking to pay off their service hour commitment, our school gives the option to buy Scrip/gift cards and donate them to SAP. We buy a lot of materials and supplies from Office Depot, Walmart/Sam’s Club, Home Depot, Starbucks, and Target for much needed supplies, so if you buy Scrip valued at $15/hour and donate it to the school to offset costs, we will credit your service hour account. We are always in need of Yard Duty, Daycare, and Traffic PLC volunteers. Next year our hours may increase to match minimum wage rates of almost $17/hour!
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO for RETURNING FAMILIES
Re-Registration for current students is now complete. All registration forms need to be filled out online via FACTS.. If you have questions, please email Mr. Aguilar. Those with registration holds may not register for next year until your hold is expressly lifted by administration. Open Enrollment to the public began on 3/1/23. Those not registered will be automatically waitlisted.
KEEPING HANDS TO SELF, PERSONAL SPACE
Students have been reminded multiple times by me and their teachers that they need to keep their hands, feet, and all objects to themselves. If students are touching each other in any way, it could lead to detention or a referral. Please see the handbook. Remind your kids to keep their hand to themselves and stay in their bubble/personal space at all times. This is becoming a safety issue.
CELL PHONES NOT ALLOWED, SOCIAL MEDIA NOT A GOOD IDEA
Parents, please note that NO student in our K-8 school needs a cell phone. We have landlines available for their use. If a child is seen using their cell phone on campus it will be confiscated and will result in a referral on the progressive discipline chart. Your child’s use of devices should be limited at home (the doctor recommendation is 2 hours a day) and should only be used with direct supervision by a trusted adult. Do not let your child sleep with a device. Access to social media is NOT a good idea. Please monitor your child’s use at home. If their behavior online violates our Acceptable Use Policy, there will be serious consequences. NO EXCEPTIONS.
