Dear SAP School Families,
This week we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from 10/23-10/31, where we promote Drug Abuse Prevention. Activities will take place throughout this week in classrooms and through our Student Government to bring awareness to the important issue and to keep our kids safe.
On Wed, 10/25, our students in grades K-5 will attend The Sound Of Music. Their departure time will be at 8:30 and their arrival time will be at 1:30. Please remind your child to wear their regular uniform and bring a sack lunch.
This Thursday, 10/26, Jr. High students will be presenting their annual College Fair Projects in the Hall starting at 10:30am. The doors in the hall will open at 10:30 a.m. and close at 11:30 a.m. Parents who would like to attend should enter the front door of the Hall and let your classroom teachers know if you plan to attend beforehand. I’d like to congratulate Ms. Klute, our Jr. High ELA teacher for putting this event together and to all the students in grades K-6 for sharing their knowledge on Catholic high schools, trade schools, and 4-year universities.
On Friday 10/27 is Picture Makeup Day. If your child missed Picture day on 9/21, they can take their picture on this day from 9:15-11am in Room 5. School pictures and IDs were sent home last week.
Our Fall Chocolate Fundraiser ended on 10/13. We will begin our Winter Fundraiser: the Holiday Cash Raffle very soon. The winners will be announced on 12/13, the evening of our Christmas program.
All qualifying families will participate in the Magic Show on 11/9. Lunch will also be provided by Alvarado Catering on 11/9, for all those who sold one or more boxes above the minimum requirement of 4 boxes. If your family sold over the minimum, ALL your children attending SAP can participate in this event in the Hall. Thank you for all your support!
God bless,
Angela Grey, Principal

VOLUNTEERS
All visitors on campus must check in and out of the office at all times and wear a VISITOR badge. All Volunteers must be Fingerprinted through the ADLA and cleared, and have a current Virtus Training Certificate. AM and PM carline and lunch yard duty volunteers (from 12-1 daily) are needed. Please email me at agrey@stanthonygardena.org if you are interested. For safety reasons, please call before you come to the office and buzz yourself in. Do not prop the door open for anyone, especially strangers. All parents are welcome to join the SAFETY PLC to increase security on our campus.
PARKING AND CARLINE SAFETY
All carline vehicles should never park/exit your vehicle in the carline areas, please continue to move safely along with the morning and afternoon carline traffic. There is additional parking area available to the left of the carline for anyone who needs to park for any reason, especially if walking your child to the classroom – please view parking map
In addition, never park or stop for drop off/pick up in the alley. This presents a risk to yourself, your child, pedestrians and also prevents safe access in the event of an emergency – please be aware of the sign indicating this NO PARKING area. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe. Our School Resource Officer, Carlos Guiterrez was seen on campus patrolling the area. Please welcome him when you see him.
