Dear SAP School Families,
This weekend our Folklorico group performed at the Palos Verdes Christmas Parade and they did a fabulous job representing us, as always! Special thanks to our Folklorico teacher, Ms. Martha Zambrano for all her hard work with our students. On Saturday, we also welcomed the Guam/Chamorro Community to our parish community to honor Santa Maria Kamalen (Our Blessed Mother). The 8th graders also finished their poinsettia sale this weekend, and we had the Kinder and 8th grade Bake sales yesterday. Thank you to all who volunteered and showed their support!
This Sunday marked the first week of Advent and the beginning of the Year of Grace.
Our Winter Fundraiser: the Holiday Cash Raffle continues. The top winners of the cash prizes will be announced on 12/13 at our Christmas Show in the church that evening! It is $1.00 per ticket and there are 25 tickets per book. The Grand Prize is $2000 cash, the 2nd Prize is $1000 cash, the 3rd Prize is $500 cash, and the 4th Prize is $250 cash. Please sell tickets and turn the ticket stubs and monies into the office by 12/8.
Last week, our junior high students had their NET retreat. We thank all of the families who hosted these amazing missionaries. The NET team will be back next week for another retreat on 12/11.
Thank you to all who attended our Mandatory Parent Faith Formation retreat in the Hall led by our pastor Msgr. Sal. It was a powerful and much needed presentation. We also celebrated the birthday of our PLC Parent Lead, Amy Lucas Palanca! Please note that next year, our tuition contract will be updated to include 2 additional mandatory parent faith formation retreats, per Msgr. Sal’s request. This is wonderful news for families, as it offers more opportunities to grow in our Catholic faith.
Our school wide Adopt-a-Family Christmas Service Project is going well so far. Thank you to all for the wonderful gifts and donations to help families in need this Christmas.
May God bless us all,
Angela Grey, Principal
